My Story
My whole life things I was told when I was feeling down or discouraged sounded something like this..... "oh, it’s just not your time yet" or "Just be yourself" "just don’t worry about it" "just try harder". These are the things that always made me feel like I was just a few steps behind in the game. I was hard on myself.
I had this friend who joined Scentsy. She asked me to have a party, and after some hesitation I said ok, but just a catalog party. I had my party and I was able to get a few items that I liked. After I had my party, my friend asked me if I would be interested in joining this business. I told her no probably not, I will just shop from you when I can. Well she didn’t really take my no to heart, so about a month later, she asked me again. I again told her no. Well another couple weeks passed and our families were out to dinner together, and guess what! SHE ASKED ME AGAIN! SHE WOULD NOT LEAVE ME ALONE! well I turned her down a few more times.... then late in June she messaged me and said... "LISTEN! Scentsy is having a special in July, where you can join at a lower cost. You get all your business supplies, a warmer and a bar. So, think about this.... Worst case, you end up with a warmer and a scent bar, best case you end up with a business! What do you really have to lose?" So, I thought about it, I talked to some friends, I thought some more, and some more. Then I finally messaged her back and said... " ok, you talked me into it, but I don’t know how well it is going to go." She said... "I think you will surprise yourself.
So, what I did not know, is that I had just started on an amazing journey. Before this time, I had struggled with finding friends, finding a place that I could be myself, and had struggled with my confidence. I am now part of an amazing family, a team, and an incredible group of friends. I have had so many people encourage me in ways that I never knew. The things that this company promotes and teaches, like sharing Scentsy Spirit, showing love to those around us, always reaching a hand out to help, are the kinds of things that I had been looking to be a part of. I have the option to stay home with my kids, and still help support my family. I get to help and encourage others around me. I also found accomplishment. I have been able to set goals for myself and not only reach them, but knock them right out of the park, so to speak! I have found a place that I can be authentically me. Scentsy loves everyone. They want you to come just as you are. They encourage you to be yourself, love who you are, and share who you are with others.
I am so glad that I had a friend who saw my potential and offered me this great opportunity! I cannot wait to share it with YOU!
